If you need Skydiving Insurance, it’s included within the standard travel insurance policy of World Nomads, as recommended by Lonely Planet. Most people trying sky diving will be doing a tandem jump – that is, jumping while actually attached to a skydiving instructor. World Nomads basic insurance covers tandem jumping. If you want to do more than one tandem jump, or what to sky dive solo, you’ll need to check with World Nomads about whether you can still get coverage. For most travellers though, cover for one tandem single Sky Diving jump is enough.
The exact phrasing of the World Nomads policy is:
Skydiving – tandem (one jump only): provided you are supervised by a qualified instructor / licensed operator or hold the appropriate membership, certification and/or licence from an accredited organisation for the activity. Personal Liability cover is excluded.
